Clara Scola
Installation
During his years of study, he developed a strong dualism between curatorial practice and artistic production. This combination converges in projects that explore the relationship between the body and public/private space, analyzing and reinterpreting the contexts in which actions and reactions take place.
His primary interest lies in the intrinsic characteristics of individuals and communities within complex social systems. With a keen focus on the surrounding environment, he examines the various components of this intricate mechanism, inserting himself into social interstices and anthropologically analyzing everything that influences human existence.
Daily life serves as a key interpretative tool in his research, connecting broader, global dynamics with simpler, more intimate situations. He seeks and preserves the most intriguing and curious aspects of things, shaping them in a way that makes them accessible to any viewer.
He has a strong interest in the function and use of exhibition spaces, rejecting the idea of the white cube as a sterile container to be filled. Instead, he perceives it as a space to be experienced and consumed. Scola imposes no spatial or material limits, employing a diverse range of media and embracing a cross-disciplinary approach to artistic research.
Through his work, the exhibition itself gains immediate significance, transforming previously anonymous and impersonal spaces into dynamic environments with distinct identities.
