Cinzia Benigni
Installation
Visual artist, printmaker, and curator, Cinzia Benigni graduated from the G. Carrara Academy of Fine Arts in Bergamo. From 2007 to 2016, she worked as an assistant to the Professor of Printmaking Techniques at the same institution. Since 2016, she has been a Professor of Printmaking and Art Graphics, also covering the role of Professor of Special Graphic Techniques during the 2019/20 academic year.
Over the past 15 years, she has been active in the art field on multiple levels: gallery assistant, project manager for a public art initiative at GAMeC (Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Bergamo), and private assistant to Mario Benedetti, a renowned printmaker and painter. She has also served as the General Secretary of the Premio Angelini, a biennial printmaking award based in Bergamo.
As a printmaker, she has collaborated with numerous artists, including Eva Marisaldi, Andrea Mastrovito, Gary Kuehn, and Tullio Pericoli, working between Milan and Bergamo to coordinate print editions and artist book projects. She has also collaborated with A14, a Milanese print studio, and printmaker Daniela Lorenzi.
From 2019 to 2020, she was part of Officine Tantemani, a space dedicated to workshops, art, design, and contemporary craftsmanship. She actively participates in solo and group exhibitions across Italy.
